We are beyond excited to announce that launching September 2025, we are working with local chef, Steff Coupe, former Head Chef and owner of the iconic Lobster Pot in Church Bay, Anglesey to exclusively offer our guests at Ty Deryn Y Mor and The Annexe, some of his signature seafood dishes delivered to your front door during your stay!
Many, many, many people will know that Steff and his wife Wendy, ran The Lobster Pot in Church Bay for 17 years, with Steff working as Head Chef for 11 years prior to owning the business. As avid fans of The Lobster Pot ourselves, we can recall the time when there used to be a waitlist for tables, when you’d need to book months in advance if you stood any chance of getting some of their delicious food. Each and every time we were on the island, The Lobster Pot was included in our plans.
After having The Lobster Pot under their management for almost two decades, they took the decision to step away from the business after Covid. For the past few years they have been focusing their time and energy on supplying locals and visitors to the island with the tastiest fish & chips from their mobile Chippy Chippy van…touring around the island feeding us all!! We are slightly biased, but as a family who LOVES fish & chips, we actively seek out the Chippy Chippy van whenever we are on our holidays!
Seafood menu
Since leaving The Lobster Pot, Steff has missed cooking some of his signature dishes (we‘ve missed you too!!) such as Anglesey Lobster Thermidor and Fisherman’s Pie, and this has sparked the most exciting opportunity: Steff has created a bespoke menu exclusively for guests staying at Ty Deryn Y Mor and The Annexe. The menu ranges from whole dressed Anglesey lobster to chilled seafood platters for two. Children have not been forgotten, Steff has added cod & cheddar fishcakes, child’s portion of his fisherman’s pie and local crab mornay.

You’ve got to be in it to win it
You quite literally have to be staying at either of our homes in Llanfaethlu to be able to order from this menu. All dishes can be pre-ordered with Steff at least 48 hours in advance, or more if you like to plan ahead. All our Anglesey guests will be sent the menu prior to their stay and we are delighted to be able to partner with Wendy and Steff to offer this extra service. Icing on the cake if you ask me!
We (Andrew and Sarah) met almost 20 years ago and now have two young boys, Ianto and Iolo. Andrew is a writer and lawyer and Sarah’s background is in luxury overseas travel. As a family, we work tremendously hard to ensure all our guests have simply THE best time whilst they stay with us.
